A Low-key Night Out In Downtown Chandler feat. Cachaça
1. Let’s talk about ambiance…
Located in the basement of Crust Chandler, you’ll find the staircase on the left of the restaurant underneath a couple of lantern-style red lights. This fairly hidden gem was renovated and opened officially in 2015, but the decor dates back to 1912 when the city of Chandler was founded. It was fairly packed for a Sunday night, but the two lady bartenders handled the crowd, expertly cracking eggs into speciality cocktails and garnishing with dried fruits and fresh mint leaves.
Upon entering, directly to your right is a small-scale living room setup featuring a wall decorated with framed mug shots of various celebrities. Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Tupac, even Pamela Anderson. The music wasn’t what you’d expect given the decor and history of the place, but we enjoyed it all the more. It…
